Janczuk Sensei started Aikido in Warsaw, Poland in 1984. He has studied with many excellent instructors including Moriteru Ueshiba Doshu and Seiichi Sugano Shihan. Since meeting Mitsunari Kanai Shihan, he has studied closely with him and his students, including Claude Berthiaume Shihan, for whom he moved to Montreal to continue his practice of Aikido and Muso Shinden Ryu Iaido (sword).
Mucha Sensei started her martial art study in Warsaw, Poland in 1982 with Judo, followed a year later by Aikido. She has studied with a variety of instructors, including Moriteru Ueshiba Doshu, Nobuyoshi Tamura Shihan, and Seiichii Sugano Shihan. In 1993 she met Mitsunari Kanai Shihan and Claude Berthiaume Shihan, and later moved to Montreal to continue her practice of Aikido and Muso Shinden Ryu Iaido (sword) with them. In 2005 she resumed her Judo practice with Hiroshi Nakamura Sensei. She has received gold medals in several provincial tournaments and has been the national champion in Judo kata since 2012. She represented Canada in the World Judo Kata Championship in 2014, 2015, and 2016.
